Silent Disco in the Main Library

On Friday 21 March, the Main Library turned into a dance floor full of colours and sounds. More than 100 participants took part in a unique Silent Disco, where everyone could choose their favourite music channel and party to the rhythm that only played in their headphones.

Three diverse channels awaited the participants - from classic hits and hits from the 80s and 90s, through house and radio atmospheres, to a stronger dose of rap and hip-hop. Everyone could find something to their liking and dance until midnight... in total silence!

This unusual event showed that an academic space can combine culture, fun and community in a completely new way.

Silent Disco was organised by the Centre for Student and Doctoral Activities (CASiD) and the International Office University of Gdańsk. 

We can already reveal that the next edition is planned for June - see you on the dance floor (with headphones)!
